It's been a bit, but I'm still working away at Dread. Here we go!

1. Again, I don't like the Native American tribes worldbuilding, but I'm glad it's worked out the way it has. Not great, but at least not quite as hostile as I thought it would be. Phew.

2. I do wish I knew a little more about Ivan, because I can't tell how serious he was when he was talking to Amy V. It seemed like he was telling the truth. The whole interaction was really great and cute--I hadn't realized how much I missed seeing the actors and the construct of the game. It's a funny balance to try and strike. You want everything to be heavily immersive, for your players as well as your audience, but it is still an RPG. Too much immersion gets overwhelming, too little is no fun. But because I only know Ivan through this series, my first thought was that he (the goat man) could totally be lying. Guess I'll just have to find out.

3. The actors' habit of dropping these huge character moments as they pull blocks is a really nice touch. Satine's pull at the very end of the episode felt like an amazing example of it. It's contrived and tension building, and just really perfect. It makes everyone more nervous and it feels like all the feelings and history just spilling up. It's cheesy and I love it.

3a. I really wanted there to be peeled grapes in that terrible garbage can. Also, how much of a pain was that thing to set up, that much water is so heavy!
